Column-Reeded is unique in that it has convex flutes. Its name is deried from the Egyptians, and their practice of tying reeds together for building. This unique design became a decorative motif in the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century and was used to enrich columns and pilasters, as well as door and window architraves.
